AB - Background: the prevalence of obese female adolescent in Bantul Regency in 2018 increased by 6.42 percent. Fat nutritional status in adolescents is caused by several factors; one of which is excessive consumption of junk food. Objective: determine the relationship between consumption of junk food and the incidence of obesity in female adolescent in Bantul Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: this research employed a quantitative study with a case control design. The research samples were female adolescent aged 13-18 years in Bantul, and the samples were randomized sampling by using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data was analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. Results: in the case group, the average score of junk food consumption was 15.14 ± 5.61, and the control group had a score of 17.02±6.61. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between the consumption of junk food and the incidence of obesity in female adolescent in Bantul Regency p=0,046 (p
