A sports nutritionist is someone who studies nutrition and its relation to sports. Nutrition services for athletes aim to improve and improve nutritional status in order to achieve optimal health status to support athlete performance. This activity includes measuring the athlete's physical development, calculating nutritional needs, nutrition education and organizing food. Organizing athlete food is a process of meeting the nutritional needs of athletes through planning activities to food distribution. The process of providing food to athletes can be done in two ways, namely independently and semi-outsourcing. The form of organizing food for athletes is divided into three, namely during centralized training, travel and matches or events. Fulfillment of nutrition in each sport varies depending on the type of exercise and energy use. Food planning for athletes is divided into four categories based on the type of exercise, namely light, moderate, heavy and very heavy. Based on the 2013 DKI Jakarta governor regulation relating to the establishment of athlete nutrition standards, the nutritional needs of athletes range from 5453 calories to 7282 calories.
